 Bex Mitchell Shala Yoga


Bex’s intention is to hold a relaxed space to allow students to step onto their mat with a smile and practice with compassion. Her teachings encompass a holistic approach to yoga; expect lots of breath work and dynamic alignment-based asana along with teachings into the wisdom of yoga, which you can take with you off the mat and into daily life.


Bex’s own yoga practice continually brings her back to a sense of balance, deep connection and curious fascination. Originally from England, Bex was inspired by many of her early teachers and soon realized that she too wanted to share the teachings of yoga with others. She took a leap of faith, packed up her life in the UK and travelled to India to immerse herself in her teacher training before making the move out to the beautiful West Coast of Canada.


Bex is continually seeking to progress as a student and teacher of yoga, she has completed training in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin and feels blessed to be sharing her journey with the local yoga community here in Squamish.
