The act of singing can be deeply therapeutic, especially when done as a group. Age-old traditions such as chanting, mantras and hymns are embedded in the meditative aspect of producing sound and accessing higher states of consciousness.
Originally from Calgary, Lisa came to the practice of yoga as a means to rehabilitate a spinal injury. but what she found in yoga was therapy not only for the body, but also for the soul. Through the practice, it has become clear to her that yoga is one of the most profound ways to connect with ourselves, and with one another. She draws from her experience singing in multiple choirs and vocal ensembles and her passion for group sound work. She takes her sense of adventure and curiosity to the mat, blending invigorating asana, breath work, sound, and self-exploration.
Join Lisa for an evening of breath, flow and sound exploration though mantra, toning and sound meditation…
